The NPR (Non Product Related) procurement specialist Procurement Services from Houten, Eindhoven and Leeuwarden (The Netherlands), has been taken over 100% by the French EPSA Group as of the end of January. The increasingly international dimension of clients, the challenge to develop further and the desire to safeguard the future were the main reasons for this take over. The French company with approximately 1,500 employees worldwide, focuses on optimizing business performance, productivity and profitability for its clients.
Enrichment of knowledge and services
EPSA has far-reaching international expertise organized into 7 business lines, namely: Procurement, Marketplace, Tax, Innovation, Transformation & Digital, Energy & Environment and Finance. “For Procurement Services, it is a next and logical step in our existence. It is a wonderful opportunity to further expand our services,” says Martijn Heijmans, Director and major sharehoulder at Procurement Services. “There is an enormous knowledge potential in the various EPSA Group companies. Together with André Seltenrijch, he founded Procurement Services in 2005. Heijmans: “The impressive number of international benchmarks and the complementary services also offer our clients interesting new opportunities. Take for example the services around a current theme such as the transition to more sustainable business operations.”
Matthieu Gufflet, Founding President of EPSA, states: “The Netherlands is a key market for us and we are excited to fill a gap by now adding Procurement Services into our European footprint. We have been impressed by the quality of the team and its management, its culture of entrepreneurship as well as the reputation of the company in its market. It is a great addition to our group and will reinforces EPSA’s position across Europe. With the addition of Procurement Services, we are clearly the European leader in procurement consulting with over 700 professionals.”
Strong in Europe, active on 6 continents
EPSA was founded in 2001 and specialized in indirect procurement consulting. Today, EPSA has around 1,500 employees in 35 countries, spread across 25 offices on 6 continents with a particularly strong presence in Europe and the US. The Netherlands was still the missing piece of the puzzle in Europe and will now be filled by Procurement Services. Procurement Services will continue to operate independently under its own name with the same employees and management team.
